About Jeremy
Jeremy started his career overseas, working for Project Syndicate for nearly a decade based out of Prague and Shanghai. Project Syndicate is a nonprofit international newspaper association that Jeremy got involved with at a very early stage. He spearheaded a business development strategy that saw the association grow from a few dozen member newspapers in mostly Eastern Europe, to a truly global association of over 300 newspapers in over 100 countries. Jeremy grew the staff, established a publishing and analytics practice, and helped expand the editorial offerings from two series to several dozen.
During Jeremy’s time abroad he worked as a freelance journalist, writing on a variety of topics for dozens of publications around the world, and he was a stringer for The Business Times of Singapore and The South China Morning Post of Hong Kong. Jeremy continues to write regularly with recent articles appearing in The Hill, Bloomberg, and USA Today.
Upon returning to the U.S. after nearly a decade overseas, Jeremy settled in New York City and worked for a variety of well-known consulting companies. At Deloitte’s Chinese Services Group Jeremy wrote a weekly newsletter on U.S. / China trade and supported the firm on a variety of China-related projects. At Control Risks he worked across the various security service-lines but developed a specialized knowledge of corporate investigations with a particular focus on China and on supporting financial services clients. At the Gerson Lehrman Group, Jeremy was a Vice President on the private equity / venture capital team managing a book of business worth millions, working with some of the world’s best known financial services firms.
Jeremy was also Vice Chair of ISSUE Project Room, New York’s premiere center for experimental music. He served as Curation Director for NationSwell, and he is active in New York’s arts community.
Since starting Challenger Hill Consulting Jeremy has worked with some of the world’s best-known brands and supported corporate and military leaders on a variety of communications projects. Jeremy’s first book, Sell Like a Spy, will be published in August 2024, by Diversion Books. He regularly delivers keynote speeches at conferences and trains sales teams on Sell Like a Spy.
